Registering for CIS

Step 1:
Register for the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) via the Government Gateway, or call 0300 200 3210.
Once the application has been accepted, the HMRC will start processing it. The average time is 10-15 days, which can be longer or shorter.

Step 2:
HMRC will contact you and let you know once your application for CIS has been accepted, you will also be given a Unique Tax Reference Number (UTR).

Step 3:
Once you have your UTR number and it is registered under CIS, let us know by emailing us at info@bishopsgatepay.co.uk
We can then ensure that your tax status is updated.
